IWLCA Preseason Division I Poll
Reigning national champions begin in top spot; ALC and ACC both boast five schools in rankings

The ACC and the ALC both claim five schools in the rankings while the Big East follows closely with four institutions. The Ivy League is the only other conference to boast of multiple schools in the top-20 with three. The Atlantic-10, CAA, and America East are each represented by one school.
The ACC has four schools in the top-10, with North Carolina just outside the top-four at No. 5. Duke follows and No. 7 with Virginia right behind at No. 8. Boston College rounds out the poll at No. 20.
The ALC is led by top-ranked Northwestern; Florida, who finished the regular season at No. 1, starts the 2013 season at No. 3. Penn State closes out the top half of the poll at No. 10, while Ohio State checks in at No. 13. Johns Hopkins sits at No. 19.
The Big East is led by Syracuse at No. 2; Loyola at No. 6 and Notre Dame at No. 9 also reside in the top-10. Georgetown is also a top-10 team, coming in at No. 15. The Ivy League’s three teams are all in the second half of the poll, led by No. 11 Penn and No. 12 Dartmouth. Cornell lands at No. 16 in the rankings.
Massachusetts from the A-10 starts the season at No. 14, while the CAA’s Towson (No. 17) just edged out the America East’s Stony Brook (No. 18).
This is the first IWLCA poll of the 2013 season; the regular season polls will start February 25.

IWLCA Preseason Division II Poll
LIU Post, reigning national champions, begin season at No. 1; NE-10 and PSAC both claim five schools

All five of the NE-10 schools sit in the top-10 of the preseason poll, led by LeMoyne and Adelphi. Stonehill starts a block of three institutions at No. 7, with New Haven (No. 8) and Bentley (No. 9) right behind the Skyhawks.
West Chester leads the PSAC at No. 4; Lock Haven rounds out the top-10 at No. 10. Bloomsburg leads a trio of schools at No. 12; Gannon (No. 13) and Mercyhurst (No. 14) fall in right after the reigning PSAC tournament champions.
LIU Post from the ECC leads the poll and is joined by Dowling as the Golden Lions sit just outside the top-10 at No. 11.
Rollins, a 2012 semifinalist and an independent in lacrosse, starts the 2013 campaign at No. 5, edging out South Region rivals Limestone (No. 6) and Florida Southern (No. 15).
This is the first poll for the IWLCA for the 2013 season; the first regular-season poll will be released Feb. 25.

IWLCA Preseason Division III Poll
Reigning champion Trinity starts 2013 as No. 1; the NESCAC claims seven ranked schools

The Trinity Bantams, the reigning national champions, open the 2013 season where they left off from 2012—on top of the rankings. The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) claims seven of the top-20 schools, including four in the top-10. The Capital Athletic Conference boasts three ranked schools, including two in the top-10, while the Centennial, Middle Atlantic, and Empire 8 conferences each have two institutions in the preseason IWLCA poll.
The NESCAC’s seven schools are led by Trinity at No. 1, with Middlebury just outside the top-four at No. 5. Colby (No. 7) just edges out Amherst (No. 8), while Bowdoin starts the season at No. 12. Tufts comes in at No. 16, with Hamilton two spots behind at No. 18.
Salisbury’s No. 2 ranking leads the Capital Athletic Conference, and York starts the season inside the top-10 at No. 9. Mary Washington also sits in the top-20, coming in at No. 13.
The Centennial, Middle Atlantic, and Empire 8 each have two schools ranked. Gettysburg from the Centennial starts at No. 4, with Franklin & Marshall starting at No. 14. Messiah from the MAC closes out the top half of the poll at No. 10, and Elizabethtown begins the season at No. 19. From the Empire 8, St. John Fisher leads the way at No. 17 while Ithaca rounds out the poll at No. 20.
The four remaining ranked schools represent four different conferences, starting with Cortland from the SUNYAC. The Red Dragons start the season at No. 3 while the TCNJ Lions from the NJAC comes in at No. 6. Catholic from the Landmark starts the second half of the poll at No. 11 and the ODAC’s Washington & Lee sits at No. 15.
The NESCAC’s eight schools include five in the top-10, led by Bowdoin at No. 4. Hamilton then starts a formidable block.
