IWLCA Releases Week 7 Polls
IWLCA Division I Poll, Week 7
Terps and Wildcats continue to sit 1-2 in rankings

The top 13 schools, led by the top-ranked Terps and the No. 2 Wildcats, remain the same from last week’s rankings as the Terps and Wildcats continue to rank 1-2 in each voter’s ranking. Ohio State moves into the rankings, landing at No. 19, giving the ALC five schools in the poll.
Both the American Lacrosse Conference and the Atlantic Coast Conference boast five ranked schools, giving these two conferences half the population of the top-10. The five ACC schools all rank in the top-14, starting with three in the top-four with No. 1 Maryland, No. 3 Duke and No. 4. North Carolina. Virginia holds at No. 11 while Boston College moves up to No. 14. The ALC has two in the top-six with No. 2 Northwestern and No. 6 Florida; Penn State holds at No. 15 while Vanderbilt moves to No. 17 and Ohio State moves in at No. 19.
The Ivy Group and the Big East are both represented by three schools. The Ivy’s Penn (No. 8) and Princeton (No. 12) both hold from Week 5 while Dartmouth rises to No. 16. Loyola leads the Big East at No. 5; Syracuse holds steady at No. 13 while Georgetown drops to No. 20.
The CAA’s two schools include James Madison, who stays in the top-10 at No. 9, and William & Mary, who shifted to No. 18.
Stanford from the MPSF remains at No. 7, while Albany from the America East remains in the top-10 at No. 10.
On Wednesday, the top-ranked Terps host ancient rival Princeton, currently No. 12. Thursday features a key ALC and national contest as the No. 6 Gators welcome the No. 2 Wildcats to Florida. The ACC follows with its own top-10 matchup on Friday as No. 3 Duke hosts No. 4 North Carolina. Saturday brings two conference contests between ranked schools as No. 8 Penn hosts No. 16 Dartmouth and No. 20 Georgetown welcomes No. 13 Syracuse. Four of the five ranked ALC teams are in action on Sunday, with No. 17 Vanderbilt hosting No. 6 Florida and No. 15 Penn State welcoming No. 19 Ohio State to Happy Valley and to the poll.

Adelphi remains on top, Lock Haven holds on to one first-place vote

The Adelphi Panthers remain on top of the rankings, and NE-10 rival LeMoyne slides into the No. 2 slot despite Lock Haven holding on to one first-place vote for the second consecutive week. The same 15 schools remain in the rankings from last week’s expansion to 15 teams.
The PSAC and the Northeast-10 both claim five schools in the ranking. The NE-10 holds a block at the top with No. 1 Adelphi and No. 2 LeMoyne, with Stonehill holding at No. 5. No. 11 Merrimack and No. 13 New Haven both rise one spot from last week’s poll. The PSAC is led by No. 3Lock Haven; West Chester holds at No. 7 while Gannon rounds out the top-10 at No. 10. Mercyhurst falls to No. 12 and Bloomsburg moves to No. 14.
The East Coast Conference and the Conference Carolinas both claim two schools. The ECC’s C. W. Post holds at No. 6 while Dowling rises one spot to No. 9. Both Conference Carolinas schools hold their positions from last week as Limestone stays at No. 4 and Pfeiffer holds at No. 15. Rollins, which competes as an independent, remains at No. 8.
On Tuesday, No. 9 Dowling hosts No. 7 West Chester in a top-10 matchup. The No. 7 Golden Rams turn around and travel to face No. 3 Lock Haven in a key PSAC and national contest on Friday. On Saturday, No. 5 Stonehill hosts old rival C. W. Post, ranked No. 6 this week.

IWLCA Division III Poll, Week 7
TCNJ takes all 20 first-place votes

The TCNJ Lions, fresh off their victory in the last week’s No. 1 v No. 2 matchup, snared all 20 first-place votes to take a firm grasp of the No. 1 slot in this week’s poll. Hamilton returns to the No. 2 slot, and Trinity College rises to a season-high No. 3 as 19 of the 20 schools stay in the poll from last week. Geneseo breaks into the rankings, coming in at No. 20.
The NESCAC continues to lead all conferences with eight in the rankings, including three in the top-10. Trinity starts off the list at No. 3, with Middlebury rising to No. 8 and Colby rounding out the top-10 at No. 10. Bowdoin moves up to a season-high No. 12, with Tufts right behind at No. 13. Amherst (No. 17), Williams (No. 18), and Bates (No. 19) form a block in the second half of the poll.
Three conferences each claim two schools. The Centennial Conference’s two schools, Gettysburg (No. 6) and Franklin & Marshall (No. 7) hold the same from last week for a second consecutive ranking. The Middle Atlantic Conferences’ Messiah holds at No. 15 and is followed immediately by Elizabethtown, who rises one spot to No. 16. No. 5 Cortland from the SUNYAC is joined in the rankings by newcomer Geneseo at No. 20.
The six remaining schools in the poll each represent a different conference, starting with top-ranked TCNJ from the NJAC. Hamilton from the Liberty League moves back up to No. 2, while Salisbury from the Capital Athletic Conference moves to No. 4. Stevens from the Empire 8 rises to No. 9. Catholic from the Landmark Conference starts out the second half of the poll as the Cardinals remain at No. 11; Washington & Lee from the ODAC moves to No. 14.
On Tuesday, No. 6 Gettysburg hosts No. 11 Catholic. A pair of key conference games takes place on Wednesday as MAC rivals Messiah (No. 15) and Elizabethtown (No. 16) meet up in Elizabethtown and No. 17 Amherst travels to face No. 8 Middlebury. On Friday, the top-ranked Lions travel to Lancaster to face the No. 7 Diplomats in a top-10 tilt. A pair of games in the NESCAC feature ranked opponents as No. 3 Trinity goes on the road to face No. 8 Middlebury and No. 17 Amherst also takes on a second consecutive ranked opponent as they host No. 10 Colby. In addition, the USA South Tournament takes place on Friday and Saturday.
