Israel Lacrosse Association, Director of Development, Girls Lacrosse (F/T)

The Israel Lacrosse Association is seeking a Director of Development for the Girls Lacrosse Program in Israel. The Israel Lacrosse Association is the National Governing Body of the sport of lacrosse in Israel dedicated to relentlessly and strategically pursuing the goal of making lacrosse the national sport of Israel, through exponential growth.  

The ideal candidate has energy, enthusiasm, and resolve to overcome challenges in a region where female sports is not part of the mainstream culture. The ideal candidate must be able to connect with Israeli youth and inspire them to use lacrosse to learn valuable life lessons. The ideal candidate is creative, independent, a change-maker, and must be passionate about making a REAL impact on the lives of Israeli youth and young adults, especially females.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Direct all player development programs
  • Design and implement campaign strategies to market lacrosse to the public
  • Use social media to promote lacrosse in the community and abroad
  • Collaborate with local sports community centers and organizations
  • Recruit youth lacrosse coaches from abroad or within Israel
  • Recruit female youth athletes in schools, athletic, community and other events
  • Organize youth practices
  • Organize all aspects of special projects such as: lacrosse birthright trips, winter service trip for high school students, national and international tournaments, and women’s summer league

Required Criteria:

  • An advocate for women/youth girls (the future is female!)
  • Lacrosse and sport enthusiast
  • Experience coaching or working with kids
  • Flexible and patient
  • A recent college graduate
  • Can work independently and as a team
  • Shows initiative
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Criteria:

  • Some knowledge of Hebrew
  • Interested in coaching and playing lacrosse

Project Logistics and Details:

  • Positon is based in Israel
  • Full-time
  • At least 1.5 year commitment
  • Available immediately
  • Housing and work transportation costs will be provided
  • Opportunities for travel provided
