IWLCA Fast Break Players of the Week – March 22, 2017
The IWLCA is pleased to announce the Fast Break Players of the Week for March 22, 2017:
Division I Offensive Player of the Week – Lindsey Ronbeck, Florida
Ronbeck recorded seven points (6g, 1a) in the Gator win over #5 Syracuse, then followed that performance up with five goals and two assists in a Big East win against Connecticut. Her stat line for the week included 11 goals on 13 shots, three assists, seven ground balls, two draw controls and one caused turnover.

Division I Defensive Player of the Week – Jenny Wilkens, California
Wilkens registered double digit save performances in two games last week, turning away 10 shots against Connecticut and posting 12 saves against Marquette. Wilkens also contributed to the Bears efforts with four ground balls and a caused turnover in the two games.
Division II Offensive Player of the Week – Cassley Jackowski, Roberts Wesleyan
Jacklowski lit up the scoreboard in Roberts Wesleyan’s three wins last week, notching 20 goals and 13 assists to go along with four ground balls and eight draw controls. The Redhaws beat Nyack (21-3), Georgian Court (17-7), and University of the District of Columbia (22-4) to improve to 5-3 on the season.
Division II Defensive Player of the Week – Erin Abbott, Lindenwood
Erin Abbott led the Lady Lions to a 3-0 week by anchoring a defensive unit that allowed only 3.67 goals per game during that stretch. Abbott totaled one goal, two assists, eight ground balls, 11 caused turnovers, and 12 draw controls for the week.
Division III Offensive Player of the Week – Carly Weiss, Manhattanville
Weiss was an offensive force for the Valiants last week, putting up 10 points in two games. Her stat line included six goals, four assists, five draw controls, four ground balls, and three caused turnovers in the wins over Virginia Wesleyan and Sweet Briar.
Division III Defensive Player of the Week – Tara Cuddihy, Dickinson
Cuddihy led Dickinson to a 1-1 week, picking up the win against #17 Ithaca after taking a 12-7 loss to #2 Trinity. The senior goalkeeper recorded 23 saves in the two games, while also adding 12 ground balls and four caused turnovers.
Two players from each NCAA Division are chosen as the Fast Break Players of the Week and announced during the broadcast of “Fast Break: IWLCA College Lacrosse Weekly” on Lax Sports Network. The show will air at 7:30 pm EDT on Wednesdays throughout the season.
