WOODBINE, MD – The 2016 IWLCA Recruit Experience attracted 129 prospective student-athletes and 121 collegiate coaches to the two-day event that designed to showcase uncommitted athletes in an intimate recruiting environment. Prospects and their parents were also treated to a recruiting seminar presented by IWLCA coaches that highlighted the recruiting process and the differences between Division I, II, and III lacrosse.

This unique event featured instructional skill sessions taught by a variety of collegiate coaches, followed by small sided game play and team competition. Participants also were provided with educational sessions focused on nutrition and strength and conditioning.

Carlee Buck, the head coach at Lenoir-Rhyne College, said “I thought this was a great event. Seeing players out of the comfort zone of playing with their clubs really gave coaches a different perspective on their game because it highlighted their game sense and awareness. The players were able to play with a lot of touches, so from a coaches' perspective, we were able to see who stood out at every level.”
