Richmond, Va -- The 2016 Junk Brands Champions Cup Recruiting Tournament attracted 5,879 individual athletes to three sites in Richmond, Va this weekend. Over 600 games were played by 305 teams in the 2017, 2018, 2019, and Open divisions over three days.

According to Mount Holyoke head coach Miriam Esber, "The Champions Cup tournament is so well run. It's great to be able to see so many prospects in one weekend. The facilities are amazing, and the people in Richmond have embraced our event. We love coming down here for this tournament."

It takes over 80 officials to staff all of these games, as well as an assortment of field marshals and event support staff. Yet the Corrigan Sports Enterprises lacrosse crew makes it look easy. "We are thrilled with how smoothly everything runs at our tournaments," said IWLCA President Alicia Groveston. "Corrigan is easy to work with and they know what our membership needs to in order to make our recruiting time more efficient."

The Junk Brands Champions Cup will be back in Richmond next year from June 16 - 18, 2018.
