2016 IWLCA Division II Final Poll – May 31, 2016
Florida Southern (19-3) captured its first NCAA Championship by dethroning defending National Champion Adelphi 8-7, and finished the season as the top-ranked team in the IWLCA Division II Coaches Poll. The Mocs became the first team outside of New York, Massachusetts, or Pennsylvania to win the Division II Women’s Lacrosse Championship, and are only the fifth team to win the title in the 16-year history of the event. Le Moyne, Lindenwood, and LIU Post round out the top five in the final rankings. Queens University of Charlotte made the biggest jump, landing in the ninth position to finish the season ranked in the top 10.
