2016 IWLCA Division III Poll – April 4, 2016
The top six teams retained their spots in the IWLCA Division III Coaches Poll, led by reigning NCAA champion Cortland (9-0), the consensus choice for the top spot. Middlebury (9-0) survived a challenge from then ninth-ranked Amherst, who moved up to the seventh spot after taking the Panthers to overtime before falling 8-7. Fellow NESCAC team Bates College (9-1) jumped into the top-ten after their 8-7 win over Hamilton, and Dickinson (5-3) made its first appearance in the 2016 rankings, entering at number 20. Key contests in the upcoming week include Middlebury hosting Hamilton (#11) and traveling to Bates (#9), Salisbury (#4) at Christopher Newport (#15) and St. Mary’s (#14), and Amherst (#7) at Colby (#8).
