Wildcats Unanimous No. 1 Vote Getters After Week 1

2024 ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Poll – February 12

 

Northwestern received all 25 first-place votes in Week 1 of the ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Poll after earning its first win over Syracuse in Evanston on Saturday. Erin Coykendall led the Wildcats with a whopping eight points. Boston College followed at the No. 2 slot following a convincing victory over UMass on Friday afternoon, winning 20-9.  

James Madison jumped into the third slot after a thrilling win over North Carolina in overtime, where senior attacker Katelyn Morgan notched the game-winner and sophomore Maddie Epke totaled seven goals and an assist to fuel the Dukes.  

Denver and Syracuse round out the Top 5, entering Week 2 in the No. 4 and No. 5 slots, respectively.  

The ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Poll will be unveiled Mondays throughout the season. It is voted on jointly by coaches throughout the country and members of the media.
