On Saturday, June 12, 2010, the IWLCA 2010 Division I, II & III North-South All Stars held their annual contests at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, PA. The games were held in conjunction with the IWLCA Champions Cup recruiting tournament.

The 2010 IWLCA/Under Armour Champions & Capital Cups at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, PA and the Maryland Soccer Plex were a huge success with record attendance attracting 255 club programs with over 5000 student-athletes participating and over 500 college coaches in attendance to watch the contest. Parents and coaches raved that there are no other tournaments in the country that attract over 500 IWLCA college coaches to watch their players.

The Intercollegiate Womens Lacrosse Coaches Association has honored 128 student-athletes in Division I with a selection on one of the All-Region teams for 2010. These athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-American teams, which will be announced on Monday, May 31.

The IWLCA has announced the final series of awards for the 2008-09 season, including the Diane Geppi-Aikens Lifetime Achievement Award, the IWLCA Service Award, and the Presidents Cup for outstanding service to the game. In addition, the team community service awards were named along with the Assistant Coaches of the Year.

The IWLCA has recognized 442 student-athletes at 162 institutions for their excellence in the classroom during the 2008-09 academic year. All student-athletes were nominated by their institutions and have attained at least junior standing academically. Nominees considered had a GPA of at least 3.5 or were in the top 10 percent of their squad.

The IWLCA has announced that 49 institutions in Division I have earned Academic Squad honors, including three that have been named Merit Squads. Teams that have a collective GPA of 3.0 or greater earn the distinction of Academic Squad; the squads with the three highest team GPAs earned the honor of being named a Merit Squad.
