Gothard Lane was named Executive Director of the IWLCA in September 2007. Lane joins the IWLCA while having served as the Director of Championships for the ECAC during the last two years. With the ECAC, he is responsible for the organization, planning and administration of 98 conference championships involving 320 Division I, II & III universities and colleges involving over 19,000 student athletes. Prior to joining the ECAC, Lane served as the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics at St. Bonaventure from 1999-2003 and was the Director for Varsity Sports & Assistant Director of Campus Recreation Services at the University of Maryland, College Park from 1982-1999.
