IWLCA Announces Division III Academic Squads

62 teams earn distinction; three named Merit Squads

     The IWLCA has announced that 62 institutions in Division II have earned Academic Squad honors, including three that have been named Merit Squads. Teams that have a collective GPA of 3.0 or greater earn the distinction of Academic Squad; the squads with the three highest team GPAs earned the honor of being named a Merit Squad. Vassar led all schools with a team GPA of 3.474 and was named a Merit Squad, as were the College of Notre Dame and Washington & Lee. National champion Franklin & Marshall earned Academic Squad honors as did national semifinalists Gettysburg and Hamilton. Thirteen of the NCAA participants earned Academic Squad honors.
