2011 Under Armour IWLCA Capital Cup Set for July 15th-17th
Baltimore, Md. (Dec. 13, 2010)-- The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse College Association (IWLCA) and Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced the dates today for the 2011 Under Armour IWLCA Capital Cup. The prestigious annual tournament will be held July 15th-17th at the SportsQuest Campus outside of Richmond, VA.
Gothard Lane, IWLCA Executive Director, said, “This annual tournament is always at the top of our list of events. We feel changing the date of the event to later in the summer and relocating it to an incredible new facility will help grow the tournament even beyond the huge success it has been in the past.”
SportsQuest is the newest and finest lacrosse facility in the United States. The complex offers 17 synthetic turf fields, state-of- the-art lighting, locker rooms and video equipment on all fields.
The tournament format will be round robin style with each team scheduled for at least four full-length games. To date, close to 180 teams have already registered. The tournament field will be capped at 200 teams.

The IWLCA is offering student-athletes not affiliated with a club program the opportunity to play on a “House” team. House Teams will be mixed 2012, 2013 & 2014.

The IWLCA has awarded management of the Capital Cup to Corrigan Sports Enterprises, the creators and operators of the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic and the IWLCA President’s Cup.
